As someone who plays Fortnite on Nintendo Switch and Roblox on my PC, I’ve experienced both sides of the gaming world — console and computer. Whether it’s chasing Victory Royales or escaping from monsters in Roblox, each platform brings its own vibe. In this post, I’m breaking down what it’s really like to play on both — and which one I think wins in certain situations!

My Setup

  • Fortnite – I play on a Nintendo Switch (docked) with a controller.
  • Roblox – I use my PC with a mouse and keyboard setup.
  • I don’t use fancy headsets or accessories — just straight gameplay, no extra gear!

Fortnite on Nintendo Switch

Fortnite on the Switch is surprisingly smooth, especially for a portable console. The graphics are slightly toned down compared to higher-end systems, but the fun is still 100% there.

Pros:

  • Easy to plug in and start playing.
  • Controller aiming feels familiar and comfy.
  • Portable when undocked (even though I usually play docked).

Cons:

  • Lower frame rate than other systems.
  • Sometimes it struggles during crazy build fights.
  • You miss some fine precision in Zero Build mode.

My Take: Still super fun, especially for casual games, but definitely a challenge in sweaty matches.

Roblox on PC

Roblox is made for PC. With keyboard and mouse, you have total control — especially in games that need fast reactions, like Rainbow Friends, Arsenal, or Murder Mystery 2.

Pros:

  • Precise movement and aiming.
  • Faster load times and smoother gameplay.
  • Easier to type and chat with others.

Cons:

  • Some games aren’t fully optimized.
  • If your PC isn’t strong, lag can happen.
  • No controller support in most Roblox games (unless you really tweak it).

My Take: Roblox feels way better on PC. It just gives you more control and freedom.

Final Thoughts

Each platform has its strengths. I love how relaxed it feels playing Fortnite on my docked Switch, but I definitely feel more powerful and in-control when I’m on my PC in Roblox.

If you’re a console gamer thinking about switching, or a PC player curious about the Switch experience — just try both! You might be surprised which one you end up preferring.
